flexible learning

About me

Hi, my name is Julian and this is my blog for the Flexible Learning Environment subject for the Masters program at the University of Melbourne. We are investigating Web 2.0 amongst other topics and I, for one, am learning a lot about how to take my use of the Web to a higher level. I have been teaching Geography and History for about 10 years and currently teach in a prep school in Oxford, England.

Looking forward to hearing and reading your posts!

Julian

    Hi Julian,
What year groups are you teaching at the moment? I would be interested in linking up for the second assignment. Your thoughts?

    Hi Frances,

I am teaching Years 7, 8 and a Year 8 Scholarship class. The Year 8s are working towards their Common Entrance examinations so I cannot change what has been planned. Their might be some flexibility in the scholarship class or Year 7 (working on Climate and Weather this term) if we plan things carefully. What do you have in mind? I think it would be great to work together.

    Best wishes,
    Julian x

    Hi Bill,

Yes, I come from Melbourne and am missing the cafe lifestyle ery much. Nonetheless I am enjoying England and particularly Oxford.

I hope all is going well with your studies.

    Cheers,
    Julian

    Hi Julian
Just saw your link to Social Software report from future labs. It’s great and easy to read. A good overview of what social software is. Section: Introduction: How do we learn in an era of connection and collaboration? Fits in nicely with what myself and Anne Maree are endeavouring to do.
Thanks for this link. Will be used . Hope all is well in Oxford.
